Lasting Results Part 6

Part 6
(Short review part 5)
(A different realm of communication only experience by those who believe)

1. When the Father sent His Son it was for lasing results-FOREVER!

2. Therefore since we are made in His image and likeness the element of lasting results abides in us.

Genesis 1:26
“God said, Let Us [Father, Son, and Holy Spirit] make mankind in Our image, after Our likeness” AMP

3. One tool and weapon that will assist us to manifest lasting results is speaking in tongues.

4. Remember that faith comes by hearing.

Romans 10:17
“So faith comes from what is heard, and what is heard comes by the preaching of Christ.”
RSV

Mark 4:24-25
“Then he added, "Pay close attention to what you hear. The closer you listen, the more understanding you will be given—and you will receive even more. To those who listen to my teaching, more understanding will be given. But for those who are not listening, even what little understanding they have will be taken away from them." New Living Translation

5. And this subject (in my estimation) is not heard nor taught enough in the body Christ.

6. The result of this is a lack of faith.

7. I believe that we will lose ground if we are not using what God has provided.

8. Let us not allow God’s work to go in vain or aborted.

9. Realize that we are fighting a spiritual warfare and we need to use spiritual tools and weapons.

10. We cannot just hold up signs and protest and use physical weapons.

11. Consider the following verses.

Ephesians 6:12-13 (Wrestling is closer than boxing)
“For we are not wrestling with flesh and blood [contending only with physical opponents], but against the despotisms, against the powers, against [the master spirits who are] the world rulers of this present darkness, against the spirit forces of wickedness in the heavenly (supernatural) sphere.

Therefore put on God's complete armor, that you may be able to resist and stand your ground on the evil day [of danger], and, having done all [the crisis demands], to stand [firmly in your place].” AMP

* Stand our ground not lose ground

* Do all not some

12. Dictionary definition for the word “Despotisms”: a system of government in which the ruler has unlimited power

13. Keep in mind that God’s armor is all supernatural. (Unseen)

Further-on in this portion of God’s word (God’s armor) we see verse 18.

Ephesians 6:18
“Pray at all times (on every occasion, in every season) in the Spirit, with all [manner of] prayer and entreaty. To that end keep alert and watch with strong purpose and perseverance, interceding in behalf of all the saints (God's consecrated people).” AMP

14. Based on what I know I believe praying in tongues is included involving the armor of God. (Based also on one of two Spirit filled Bibles I have)

15. Speaking in tongues will assist us in standing our ground and to do all that is needed. (Ephesians 6:13 AMP)

16. I also said that praying in tongues is a tool and weapon.

17. Here in Ephesians a 6:18 tongues is used as a weapon.

18. A spirit filled person will understand this.

19. Those who are not connected in this area (Speaking in Tongues) for whatever reason will take a detour.

20. Furthermore the character of Jesus Christ is also involved in the armor of God.

An acrostic to help us remember!

21. What a beautiful combination of our inheritance.

(1) Armor of God (Father)

(2) Character of Christ Jesus our Lord (Son)

(3) Speaking in tongues (Holy Spirit)

A.C.T. it out

Armor: Put on
Character: Operate in
Tongues: Speak it out

22. My purpose at this point is to widen our understanding about other areas surrounding the armor of God.  Such as:

(1) Praying in tongues used as a weapon.

(2) The character of Jesus Christ within the armor of God.

23. Here is one of several in the area of character within the armor of God section.

24. A believer who is slothful will not put on the armor of God.

25. The character quality needed is diligence.

Diligence vs. Slothfulness
“Visualizing each task as a special assignment from the Lord and using all my energies to accomplish it.” (IBLP)

26. If Jesus was standing right here in the physical and asked any of us to put on the armor of God we would most likely diligently do it and without complaining.

Colossians 3:23
“Whatever your task, work heartily, as serving the Lord and not men” RSV

27. Therefore be diligent and:

* Put on the Armor of God
* Operate in the Character of Jesus
* Speak in Tongues

28. Consider these character qualities in Ephesians 6:18.

1. Dependability
2. Availability
3. Thoroughness
4. Alertness
5. Determination
6. Patience
7. Attentiveness

Ephesians 6:18 (Observation of character in this one verse)
(1-D) “Pray at (2-A) all times (on every occasion, in every season) in the Spirit, with (3-T) all [manner of] prayer and entreaty. To that end keep (4-A) alert and watch with (5-D) strong purpose and (6-P) perseverance, interceding in behalf of all the (7-A) saints (God's consecrated people).” AMP (Emphasis added)

29. All the things I am speaking will provide lasting results. (If we believe)

30. Let us review our acrostic.

The acrostic to help us remember!

(1) Armor of God (Father)

(2) Character of Christ Jesus our Lord (Son)

(3) Speaking in tongues (Holy Spirit)

A.C.T. it out

Armor: Put on
Character: Operate in
Tongues: Speak it out

31. Let us continue with one of our spiritual tools and weapons to enable lasting results. (speaking in tongues)

32. Keep in mind that along with speaking in tongues (Specifically) is the operation of character in the life of the believer.

33. In other words our testimony needs to be maintained.

34. How do we maintain a strong, solid, dependable, responsible, convincing testimony?

Romans 12:2
“And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.” NKJV

35. Speaking in tongues have many facets. (Experienced over a period of time)

1. Edifying (1 Corinthians 14:2)

2. Sing, giving thanks, praise (1 Corinthians 14:17)

3. Instructional (As we speak in tongues God will give us what to do)

4. Wisdom (That’s a great idea!)

5. Insights from His word (Rhemas)

6. Directional (Where)

7. Cautions (Avoid)

8. Reminders (Wind in sails)

9. Tongues with interpretation towards a person (Another facet) (Public)

36. We might not understand all the facets and blessings of speaking in tongues however as we move forward to learn we will understand more.

37. Learning more or increasing our knowledge about this subject and other subjects in God’s word provides encouragement and will manifest clarity.

2 Timothy 2:15
Study and be eager and do your utmost to present yourself to God approved (tested by trial), a workman who has no cause to be ashamed, correctly analyzing and accurately dividing [rightly handling and skillfully teaching] the Word of Truth.” AMP

1 Corinthians 14:33
“For God is not a God of confusion but of peace.” RSV
