Message: Call to Join the Royal Prayer Guards
Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
WHO ARE THE ROYAL PRAYER GUARDS?
A Call to Prayer, Intercession, and Faithful Service
Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
In a world filled with uncertainty, conflict, distraction, and spiritual challenges, believers are called to remain watchful, faithful, and devoted to prayer.
The Royal Prayer Guards (R.P.G.) are a prayer-focused ministry within the Body of Christ, calling believers to stand faithfully in prayer and intercession for people, families, communities, nations, and the purposes of God.
The Royal Prayer Guards are not called to promote themselves, but to serve Christ, seek God's will, and faithfully pray for others.
We are believers who desire to be stirred by the Holy Spirit, grounded in God's Word, and committed to a lifestyle of prayer, obedience, and spiritual faithfulness.
OUR MISSION
The Royal Prayer Guards exist to:
1. Pray faithfully and persistently.
We seek God in prayer, bringing the needs of others before Him and trusting His wisdom, power, and faithfulness.
2. Stand in the gap through intercession.
We pray for those who need God's help, protection, salvation, wisdom, healing, direction, and deliverance.
3. Exercise the spiritual authority Christ has entrusted to His people.
Our authority does not originate in ourselves. It comes from Christ, and it must always be exercised in submission to Him and according to His Word.
4. Resist spiritual opposition through biblical means.
Scripture teaches believers to stand firm against the schemes of the devil, putting on the whole armor of God and remaining steadfast in faith.
5. Pray for people Jesus died to redeem.
Our interest is not simply for circumstances to change, but for people to know Christ, walk in truth, and fulfill God's purposes for their lives.
6. Glorify God through prayer and faithful obedience.
The ultimate purpose of the Royal Prayer Guards is not the advancement of a name or organization, but the glory of God.
OUR SCRIPTURAL FOUNDATION
The identity of the Royal Prayer Guards begins with what Scripture says about every believer in Christ.
1 Peter 2:9 (RSV)
“But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s own people, that you may declare the wonderful deeds of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.”
Our identity as a royal priesthood comes from God. We do not give ourselves this identity.
As God's people, we are called to declare His wonderful deeds and live as people who belong to Him.
John 17:20 (RSV)
“I do not pray for these only, but also for those who believe in me through their word...”
Jesus prayed not only for His immediate disciples but also for those who would believe in Him through their message.
This reminds us of the importance of praying for other believers and for those who will come to faith in Christ.
John 17:18 (RSV)
“As thou didst send me into the world, so I have sent them into the world.”
Jesus sends His followers into the world with a purpose.
Prayer does not replace obedience or action. Rather, prayer prepares and strengthens us to faithfully participate in the work Christ has given His followers.
Ephesians 6:11 (RSV)
“Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.”
Our spiritual battle is real, but our confidence is not in human strength. We stand in the strength God provides and use the spiritual resources He has given us.
WHO IS A ROYAL PRAYER GUARD?
A Royal Prayer Guard is not a special class of Christian who possesses authority that other believers do not have.
Rather, the Royal Prayer Guard is a believer who willingly embraces a serious commitment to prayer and intercession.
A Royal Prayer Guard seeks to:
- Give God focused time in prayer each day.
- Pray according to God's Word and God's will.
- Intercede faithfully for others.
- Stand firm in faith when facing spiritual opposition.
- Exercise the authority Christ has given, always under Christ's Lordship.
- Remain faithful rather than being controlled by fear, circumstances, or emotions.
- Work together with other believers in unity and love.
- Allow prayer to produce obedience and practical action.
WHY BECOME A ROYAL PRAYER GUARD?
Prayer is not merely an activity we perform.
Prayer is part of a believer's relationship with God.
The Royal Prayer Guards provide an opportunity for believers to intentionally strengthen their commitment to prayer and intercession—to pray for others, to seek God's direction, and to stand faithfully on His Word.
This calling crosses geographical, cultural, and denominational boundaries because the need for prayer is not limited to one place or one group of people.
We do not pray because we believe we control God.
We pray because God invites His people to seek Him, trust Him, obey Him, and bring our requests before Him.
We do not pray because we believe our own words possess independent power.
We pray in dependence upon God and in the name of Jesus Christ.
We do not fight people.
Our struggle is not against flesh and blood.
We stand against spiritual opposition while loving people, praying for people, and seeking their good.
THE CALL
If you sense God calling you to a deeper commitment to prayer, we invite you to consider becoming a Royal Prayer Guard.

A FINAL CHARGE
Let us become men and women who can be trusted to pray.
Let us pray when circumstances are difficult.
Let us pray when answers seem delayed.
Let us pray when others cannot see what God is doing.
Let us pray for those who cannot pray for themselves.
Let us pray for our families, our communities, our nation, and the nations of the world.
And above all, let us pray that Jesus Christ would be glorified and that people would come to know Him.
The Royal Prayer Guards are being called to a lifestyle—not merely an event.
A lifestyle of prayer.
A lifestyle of faith.
A lifestyle of obedience.
A lifestyle of intercession.
A lifestyle of faithful service to Jesus Christ.
