Protect the Mind Part 3
Please pray first and ask for guidance and understanding from the Holy Spirit.

(Short review)
The teaching goal today is: “Protect our mind”
God’s word gives clear instructions on what to do for our mind.
In other words what can we do to protect our mind?
Romans 12:2 (AMP) (Greek #3563 = Mind, will and feeling)
"Do not be conformed to this world (this age), [fashioned after and adapted to its external, superficial customs], but be transformed (changed) by the [entire] renewal of your mind#3563 [by its new ideals and its new attitude], so that you may prove [for yourselves] what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God, even the thing which is good and acceptable and perfect [in His sight for you]."
We also learned that our opposition could come from:
1. The kingdom of darkness. (Ephesians 6:12)
2. An un-renewed mind. (Galatians 5:16)
3. A deficiency in prioritizing. (Luke 10:38-42 about Martha and Mary and Jesus)
4. A deficiency in balancing. (Luke 10:38-42 about Martha and Mary and Jesus)
Then we taught about spiritual sharpness.
If we desire to be spiritual sharp, we need to stay close to the heavenly Father.
Staying close to the Father is a safe thing to do. (It will protect our mind)
These next verses I call “The stay close verses”.
Isaiah 26:3 (KJV)
“Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, (whose mind is stayed#5564 on thee) (because he trusteth in thee.)
To stay or establish our mind on the Lord takes work, and some meditation.
Mediation is a vehicle (or means) to manifest either peace or worry.
Dictionary definition for the word “Antonym”: a word of opposite meaning
Antonyms for “Peace” are anguish, anxiety, uneasiness and worry
Example: Mary, Martha and Jesus account Luke 10:41.
Psalm 91:1 (KJV)
“He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.”
Another way to stay close to the heavenly Father other than His word is through the speaking in tongues.
1 Corinthians 14:2 (RSV)
“For one who speaks in a tongue speaks not to men but to God; for no one understands him, but he utters mysteries#3466 in the Spirit.”

A secret from God can save your life! (Including our mind)
Today we move forward with this question.
When our mind is being attacked where in God’s word can we go?
But first realize that every person’s mind will be attacked in some way.
The attacks will be different for each person.
When I say “every person’s mind will be attacked” I mean our thought life.
However, our help and victory will come from God and His word.
Here is our help!
Psalm 46:1 (KJV)
“God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.”
Psalm 124:8 (KJV)
“Our help is in the name of the LORD, who made heaven and earth.”
Psalm 44:5 (KJV)
“Through thee will we push down our enemies: through thy name will we tread them under that rise up against us.”
Here is our victory!
1 Corinthians 15:57-58 (RSV)
“But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
58 Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain.”
1 John 5:4-5 (AMP)
“For whatever is born of God is victorious over the world; and this is the victory that conquers the world, even our faith.”
5 Who is it that is victorious over [that conquers] the world but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God [who adheres to, trusts in, and relies on that fact]?”
Notice the words “The world”.
