It is better to have a preventive mentality rather than “I’m going to mess up” mentality.

Instead of waiting to fall have a preventative attitude.

Dictionary definition for the word “Prevent”: (Think of yourself)
(1) To be in readiness for an occasion.
(2) Taking advance measures against something possible or probable.

Example: (Jesus tempted in the wilderness Matthew 4:1-11) 

Satan attempted to mess up Jesus' life. (Attitude)

Think of the severe consequences if Satan was successful. 

Think of the whole scheme of redemption for mankind.

Jesus demonstrated a “Readiness attitude”.

Jesus was ready before Satan tempted Him.

Satan attacked Jesus in His thought life.

Notice that Jesus took one battle at a time. (There was no build-up)

If Jesus did mess up (which he did not) and did not clean up His attitude as He went think of the mess that would have made.

Think of our self.

Question. How did Jesus keep His life clean and pure?

Question. How did Jesus prevent His life from getting a messed-up attitude?
