Buddy Rich Inspirational and Motivating!

For all drummers and anyone with talents, abilities, skills, and so.  Check this out!

How much time, work, training, accuracy, timing, effectiveness, control, creativity, endurance, power, intensity, aim, and patience did Buddy Rich apply in his drum playing, especially with his band? What is your response?

Spiritual speaking, how much more for all those in Christ!

I believe God can use anyone and anything to inspire His children! When I was working in the grocery industry for years, I worked with sinners and those who knew Jesus as their Lord and Savior. They gave me instructions, corrections, insights, and training. Therefore, I learned to be humble and learn from anyone.

We can also learn from God's creation. (Job 12:7-12)

(Perspective) Keep this in mind, no matter how great or amazing a person is, God made that person!

Note. I do not know if Buddy Rich was born again.

John 3:3 (AMP)
Jesus answered him, I assure you, most solemnly I tell you, that unless a person is born again (anew, from above), he cannot ever see (know, be acquainted with, and experience) the kingdom of God.

Consider this portion of God's word.

Hebrews 3:3-4 (AMP)
Yet Jesus has been considered worthy of much greater honor and glory than Moses, just as the builder of a house has more honor than the house [itself].
4  For [of course] every house is built and furnished by someone, but the Builder of all things and the Furnisher [of the entire equipment of all things] is God

Consider the following and think about your own life.

Time
Ephesians 5:15-16 (RSV)
Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise men but as wise, 16 making the most of the time, because the days are evil.

Work
Philippians 2:12-13 (NKJV)
Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling; 13 for it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure.

Training
1 Timothy 4:7-8 (RSV)
Have nothing to do with godless and silly myths. Train yourself in godliness;
8 for while bodily training is of some value, godliness is of value in every way, as it holds promise for the present life and also for the life to come.

Accuracy
Acts 18:26 (AMP)
He began to speak freely (fearlessly and boldly) in the synagogue; but when Priscilla and Aquila heard him, they took him with them and expounded to him the way of God more definitely and accurately

Timing
Ecclesiastes 3:1 (ESV)
For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven:

Effectiveness
James 5:16 (NKJV)
Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.

Control
1 Corinthians 9:27 (ESV)
But I discipline my body and keep it under control, lest after preaching to others I myself should be disqualified.

Creativity
Genesis 1:1 (AMP)
IN THE beginning God (prepared, formed, fashioned, and) created the heavens and the earth.

Ephesians 5:1 (AMP)
THEREFORE BE imitators of God [copy Him and follow His example], as well-beloved children [imitate their father].

Endurance
Romans 5:3-4 (NLT2)
We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they help us develop endurance. 4 And endurance develops strength of character, and character strengthens our confident hope of salvation.

Power
Acts 1:8 (AMP)
But you shall receive power (ability, efficiency, and might) when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you shall be My witnesses in Jerusalem and all Judea and Samaria and to the ends (the very bounds) of the earth.

Intensity
Proverbs 2:1-5 (NKJV)
My son, if you receive my words, And treasure my commands within you,
2 So that you incline your ear to wisdom, And apply your heart to understanding;
3 Yes, if you cry out for discernment, And lift up your voice for understanding,
4 If you seek her as silver, And search for her as for hidden treasures;
5 Then you will understand the fear of the LORD, And find the knowledge of God.

Aim
Luke 12:31 (AMP)
Only aim at and strive for and seek His kingdom, and all these things shall be supplied to you also.

Patience
James 1:2-4 (NKJV)
My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials,
3 knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience
4 But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing.

With the faith God gave me and with His help all these character qualities were manifested at different times when working in the grocery industry, including my current walk of faith.
All glory goes to my heavenly Father in Jesus name!

John 15:4-5 (NKJV)
Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me.
5 I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.

Philippians 4:13 (AMP)
I have strength for all things in Christ Who empowers me [I am ready for anything and equal to anything through Him Who infuses inner strength into me; I am self-sufficient in Christ's sufficiency].

More perspective!

Acts 8:9-13 (AMP)
But there was a man named Simon, who had formerly practiced magic arts in the city to the utter amazement of the Samaritan nation, claiming that he himself was an extraordinary and distinguished person.

10 They all paid earnest attention to him, from the least to the greatest, saying, This man is that exhibition of the power of God which is called great (intense).

11 And they were attentive and made much of him, because for a long time he had amazed and bewildered and dazzled them with his skill in magic arts.

12 But when they believed the good news (the Gospel) about the kingdom of God and the name of Jesus Christ (the Messiah) as Philip preached it, they were baptized, both men and women.

13 Even Simon himself believed [he adhered to, trusted in, and relied on the teaching of Philip], and after being baptized, devoted himself constantly to him. And seeing signs and miracles of great power which were being performed, he was utterly amazed.

There is not enough room anywhere that can ever explain or reveal how amazing Jesus is! However, here is one portion of God's word to consider!

Revelation 15:3-4 (ESV)
And they sing the song of Moses, the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying, “Great and amazing are your deeds, O Lord God the Almighty! Just and true are your ways, O King of the nations!4 Who will not fear, O Lord, and glorify your name? For you alone are holy. All nations will come and worship you, for your righteous acts have been revealed.”

Advice:

Please do not compare yourself with others who are better than you in anything. Example, for those in Christ who play the drums or any instrument. Play drums unto Jesus, do the best you can, and enjoy your drum playing. Do not allow others who are great in drum playing destroy your confidence in playing drums. Comparing can destroy your contentment.

Think about this portion of God’s word.

2 Corinthians 10:12 (AMP)
Not that we [have the audacity to] venture to class or [even to] compare ourselves with some who exalt and furnish testimonials for themselves! However, when they measure themselves with themselves and compare themselves with one another, they are without understanding and behave unwisely.
