Be effective!
To be effective bring to the surface salt

For those in Christ, we are the salt of the earth.

Matthew 5:13
You are the salt of the earth, but if salt has lost its taste (its strength, its quality), how can its saltness be restored? It is not good for anything any longer but to be thrown out and trodden underfoot by men.

Salt is a preservative or stabilizer.

As salt, we preserve or stabilize our life, others, and activities. However, we need to be pure and white as salt to be effective. In other words, our continued goal as believers in Christ is to maintain our flavor. Otherwise, we will not be believable.

Mark 9:50
Salt is good, but if the salt loses its flavor, how will you season it? Have salt in yourselves, and have peace with one another."

Come out of the saltshaker!

One way to be effective in this world is to ensure that our saltness is demonstrated through our life, with the character qualities of Jesus.

Or we can say, allow our salt (Thoughts, words, actions, attitudes, and motives…) to come out of the saltshaker. (Our life)

We cannot hold in the salt. It must be recognized among the people.

Matthew 5:16
Let your light so shine before men that they may see your moral excellence and your praiseworthy, noble, and good deeds and recognize and honor and praise and glorify your Father Who is in heaven.

Perspective!

Salt enhances the flavor of food. Too much salt is not wise.

Therefore, our communication with people should be seasoned as with food. In other words, too much of us when talking to people is not wise. People will push us away. (Too salty!)

Colossians 4:6
Let your speech at all times be gracious (pleasant and winsome), seasoned [as it were] with salt, [so that you may never be at a loss] to know how you ought to answer anyone [who puts a question to you].

Make the world tolerable.

As the salt of the earth, we make it tolerable, wherever we go!

Matthew 5:13
"You are the world’s seasoning, to make it tolerable. If you lose your flavor, what will happen to the world? And you yourselves will be thrown out and trampled underfoot as worthless.

Thank you for watching, learning and applying God's word!
