Hope Part 8 People are trying to save themselves apart from Jesus!
As we move forward take heed to these verses.
Proverbs 14:12-13
“There is a way which seems right to a man, but its end is the way to death. 13 Even in laughter the heart is sad, and the end of joy is grief.” RSV
This verse is what I was doing prior to knowing Jesus as my Lord and Savior.
I did what seemed right, but it was false hope.
Keep in mind the terminology and process of wire, wires, wiring, rewiring, and wiring system and spiritual electrician. This example began in part 2, continuing in parts 3-9, and 12, of this series.
When I say wires, it means scriptures, thoughts, teachings. (Plural)
When I say wire, it means one verse of scripture or thought. (Singular)
Our wires can be contrary to God’s Word.
Sometimes our wires can get tangled up, crossed, or confused.
Many times, we need to remove old wires. (Worldly views or opinions)
Once removed we need to replace it with new wires or thinking.
When I say rewiring, I mean using what we already have.
In other words, things already in place in our mind. (Good or bad)
We should always redirect our thoughts (Wires) to God’s Word to see if it is of God.
Sometimes we need people to help us untangle our thoughts. (Wires)
Therefore, listen to the advice from one spiritual electrician, the writer of Proverbs 14:12.
When I say spiritual electrician, it means a writer of a book of the Bible, like, Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Ezra, Isaiah…) a commentary, godly wisdom from a believer, and so on.
