Part 5 Start training today and avoid defeat on the battlefield of life.

Welcome to our final training session Part 5.

1st. Here is your next prayer from your heart to the Father in Jesus name. This prayer is especially important. This prayer is one of your goals in life.

“Dear Father, I ask that You cause me to be the good soil in Jesus name amen.”

2nd. Your goal is to be the good soil. (Become verse 20)
(See Mark 4:20 below)

3rd. Your faith statement is: “I am the good soil in Jesus name amen. Mark 4:20” This faith statement is to be spoken out loud in faith and really mean it. Speak this statement several times throughout each day.

4th.  Ask your dad, mom, brother, or friend to ask you this question, “Who are you?” Your response should be, “I am the good soil in Jesus name amen!

5th. Read the following and discover more.

Luke 8:11-15 (RSV)
11 "Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God

12 The ones along the path are those who have heard; then the devil comes and takes away the word from their hearts, that they may not believe and be saved.

13 And the ones on the rock are those who, when they hear the word, receive it with joy; but these have no root, they believe for a while and in time of temptation fall away.

14 And as for what fell among the thorns, they are those who hear, but as they go on their way they are choked by the cares and riches and pleasures of life, and their fruit does not mature.

15 And as for that in the good soil, they are those who, hearing the word, hold it fast in an honest and good heart, and bring forth fruit with patience."

Mark 4:20 (RSV)
20  "But those that were sown upon the good soil are the ones who hear the word and accept it and bear fruit, thirtyfold and sixtyfold and a hundredfold."

6th. Let us now continue in this final session. Read the following material with the purpose of life change.

Romans 12:2
“Do not be conformed to this world but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that you may prove what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.”

7th. The key to present our whole life (complete transformation) holy and acceptable to God is by the renewing of our minds.

8th. As a new person with a new nature, we are to reconstruct new thought patterns in our mind and when we diligently do this, it will affect every aspect of our life.

9th. The renewing of our minds will bring our bodies into proper submission and will enable us to present our bodies holy and acceptable to God, which is our responsibility.

10th. The renewing of our minds will accomplish God’s purpose for us “that we may prove what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.”

[Your mind] The word translated "mind" properly denotes intellect, as distinguished from the will and affections.
However, here it seems to be used as applicable to the whole spirit as distinguished from the body, including the understanding, will, and affections.
As if he had said, let not this change appertain to the body only, but to the soul. Let it not be a mere external conformity, but let it have its seat in the spirit. All external changes, if the mind was not changed, would be useless, or would be hypocrisy. Christianity seeks to reign in the soul; and having its seat there, the external conduct and habits will be regulated accordingly. (From Barnes' Notes)

Romans 12:3
“For by the grace given to me I bid every one among you not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think with sober judgment, each according to the measure of faith which God has assigned him.” RSV

11th. Our thinking must be sober according to the measure of faith God has assigned to each of us.

12th. Our new life and everything about it will take the measure of faith God has assigned us to accomplish His perfect will in our lives.

Insights on Faith: Read carefully and prayerfully.

First, comes the thought or the idea (which is invisible and is considered the goal or hope). Then when faith is applied, (calling into existence the hope. Romans 4:17, Ephesians 5:1,2) it gives substance to the hope or goal.

Then after a period of time, the hope or goal is manifested. We are to wait patiently for the manifestation, continuing to call the goal into existence. Romans 8:25

What is now manifested or visible was made by faith.

The things that are seen were not made of things visible but made by giving the unseen (The hope, thought, or idea) substance through faith.

When the hope is fulfilled, faith is no longer needed in that capacity of giving substance, but it is needed to maintain the manifestation. Maintenance also will be required to maintain the manifestation of our hope, thought or idea.

Scripture to Consider:

Hebrews 11:1-3
“Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. 2 For by it the elders obtained a good report. 3 Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.” KJV

Romans 10:17
“So faith comes from what is heard, and what is heard comes by the preaching of Christ.” RSV

Romans 8:25
“But if we hope for what we do not see, we wait for it with patience.” RSV

Six Basic Principles in Romans Chapter Twelve:

1. God’s Purpose. To present our whole life holy and acceptable to God. Romans 12:1

2. How to enter God’s purpose. By the renewing of our minds. (Complete transformation) Romans 12:2

3. Results of renewing our mind. That we may prove what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect. (His purpose) Romans 12:2

4. Key factor to accomplish God’s purpose. Faith! Romans 12:3

5. What do we have and what can we use to fulfill God’s purpose? Motivational gifts! Romans 12:4-8

6. How should we use our motivational gift to fulfill God’s purpose? Character!  All gifts from God should operate on the foundation of the excellent moral qualities of Jesus Christ. (Romans 12:9-21)
