4 Children 8 Objects Part 13 Doctrine? Availability? Obedience?
It would be wise to take some notes and review them throughout the week.
Retention is manifested through regular review.
Make short steps of application.
Enjoy the teaching and your Teacher the Holy Spirit.
John 14:26 (NKJV)
"But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you."
Thank you for listening and growing in Christ!

Question, Jesus said beware of something what was it? (Matthew 16:5-12)
Matthew 16:5-12 (NKJV)
5 “Now when His disciples had come to the other side, they had forgotten to take bread.
6 Then Jesus said to them, "Take heed and beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and the Sadducees."
7 And they reasoned among themselves, saying, "It is because we have taken no bread."
8 But Jesus, being aware of it, said to them, "O you of little faith, why do you reason among yourselves because you have brought no bread?
9 Do you not yet understand, or remember the five loaves of the five thousand and how many baskets you took up?
10 Nor the seven loaves of the four thousand and how many large baskets you took up?
11 How is it you do not understand that I did not speak to you concerning bread?--but to beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and Sadducees."
12 Then they understood that He did not tell them to beware of the leaven of bread, but of the doctrine #1322 (Greek #1322 = Teaching) of the Pharisees and Sadducees.”
Jesus went to great length to make His point about wrong teaching.
The Father desires His children to receive the correct information.
Where are we receiving our information?
Once we receive it, we are to hold it safely or guard it, transport it (Responsible) and deliver it. (Thoroughness and attention to details)
2 Timothy 1:13-14 (RSV)
13 “Follow the pattern of the sound words which you have heard from me, in the faith and love which are in Christ Jesus; 14 guard the truth that has been entrusted to you by the Holy Spirit who dwells within us.”
2 Timothy 1:13-14 (AMP)
13 “Hold fast and follow the pattern of wholesome and sound teaching which you have heard from me, in [all] the faith and love which are [for us] in Christ Jesus.
14 Guard and keep [with the greatest care] the precious and excellently adapted [Truth] which has been entrusted [to you], by the [help of the] Holy Spirit Who makes His home in us.”
Now let us go back to the business card holder and the information on it.
One card I have in this business card holder reveals at least four things about me.
1. Who I am?
2. Who or what I represent?
3. What I do!
4. What I provide such as contact information!
In other words, availability.
Note this about availability.
We ought to provide people with availability.
People need our attention.
In other words, make ourselves, available to people. (Do not make it difficult)
Like on my business cards I mentioned contact information. (4 ways on card alone)
Altogether people can reach me many, different ways.
I say this to set an example to follow.
1 Corinthians 11:1 (TLB)
“And you should follow my example, just as I follow Christ’s.”
Provide an easy path for people to contact us within reason. (Use wisdom with people always trying to sell us something)
Here are two beautiful examples of availability in the Bible.
Both people in these examples were obedient.
Acts 9:10 (Calls him by name)
10 “Now there was a certain disciple at Damascus named Ananias; and to him the Lord said in a vision, "Ananias." And he said, "Here I am, Lord."
1 Samuel 3:10 (AMP) (Calls him by name)
10 “And the Lord came and stood and called as at other times, Samuel! Samuel! Then Samuel answered, Speak, Lord, for Your servant is listening.” (KJV = Heareth #8085)
Hebrew definition for the word “Heareth" #8085: to hear intelligently (often with implication of attention, obedience, understand
Strong's Talking Greek & Hebrew Dictionary.
In Samuels’s situation he was attacked with fear but eventually delivered the message to Eli.
(1 Samuel 3:18)
Ananias and Samuel were available and obedient.
Two-character qualities to memorize for our good.
Availability vs. self-centeredness
“Making my own schedule and priorities secondary to the wishes of those I am serving.” *(IBLP)
Consider these verses of God's Word.
Philippians 2:20-23 (NKJV) (Paul talking about sending Timothy) (He was available)
20 “For I have no one like-minded, who will sincerely care for your state.
21 For all seek their own, not the things which are of Christ Jesus.
22 But you know his proven character, that as a son with his father he served with me in the gospel.
23 Therefore I hope to send him at once, as soon as I see how it goes with me.”
Obedience vs. Willfulness (Is anyone being policed?)
“Freedom to be creative under the protection of divinely appointed authority.” *(IBLP)
Consider these verses of God's Word.
John 14:21 (TLB)
“The one who obeys me is the one who loves me; and because he loves me, my Father will love him; and I will too, and I will reveal myself to him."
John 14:23-24 (TLB)
23 “Jesus replied, "Because I will only reveal myself to those who love me and obey me. The Father will love them too, and we will come to them and live with them.
24 Anyone who doesn’t obey me doesn’t love me. And remember, I am not making up this answer to your question! It is the answer given by the Father who sent me.”
One huge goal that I will talk about later is the importance of character development.
Continue listening for many insights especially those four elements.
