FACE Part 12 What kind of people are we?
Remember what I said.
Preparing and training enables us to go forward and build.
Here is another quote.
“When you’re thirsty it’s too late to think about digging a well.”
If we are not prepared, we will not have what we need.
We can think about what we need however it will not be there. (God’s mercy needed)
Therefore, based on my decision to prepare and train I have a well of water in place always ready for use for myself and others in need.
By faith, I have made my decision to continue digging in as many areas of my life as possible with intensity!
This would be a great goal for all of us.
Here is a verse worthy to memorize.
Psalm 119:30 (RSV)
"I have chosen the way of faithfulness, I set thy ordinances before me."
Now we will focus on decisiveness.
Here is one area that demonstrates decisiveness of Jesus our Lord and Master.
Remember all this pertains to Preparation and Training.
Mark 1:40-41 (NRSV)
40 "A leper came to him begging him, and kneeling he said to him, "If you choose, you can make me clean." 41 Moved with pity, Jesus stretched out his hand and touched him, and said to him, "I do choose. Be made clean!"
Here is the character quality of Decisiveness demonstrated by Jesus.
Decisiveness vs. Double-mindedness
“The ability to finalize difficult decisions based on the will and ways of God.” *(IBLP)
Question, why should we prepare and train our life?
Answer: to be useful for the Master, prepared for every good work.
To be useful and prepared for the Master, cleaning and some orderliness needs to happen.
I mentioned in another teaching the importance of gathering God’s word and placing it into our life.
I provided an example of gathering groceries and placing them in our refrigerator and cupboards.
