Object #3:
Business Card Holder with business cards:
This cardholder holds information.
The information is on the business cards.
A business card provides a snapshot of the person as an individual.
At this point, I am turning things into spiritual terms.
Notice that the case for the cards and the information on the cards are like our body, spirit, and soul.
Case (Outer shell): represents our body holding information. (Example space suit)
1 Corinthians 6:19-20 (NKJV) (The real you is inside your body)
19 Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? 20 For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God's.
Business cards: Represents information on our spirit and soul.
1 Thessalonians 5:23 (NKJV) (Showing distinction between spirit, soul, and body)
23 Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely; and may your whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Notice the word “Business”.
It would be wise to know what our business is.
Our business is like Jesus' business when He was here on earth. (Earthly ministry)
Luke 2:49 (NKJV)
49 And He said to them, "Why did you seek Me? Did you not know that I must be about My Father's business?" (Resource Interlinear “the things#3588 of the#3588 Father#3962”)
John 17:18 (KJV)
18 As thou hast sent me into the world, even so have I also sent them into the world.
Remember what I said.
Business card case (Outer shell): Represents our body holding information.
However, before we can hold information, we must first receive it. (Accept it)
For example, businessperson receiving business cards from the person in charge.
This will provide people with a snapshot of who you are.
The question, would we reject the one in charge?
The question, would we reject the business cards? (Which has valuable information on it)
Therefore, we have:
(1) Receive
(2) Hold
