Lasting Results Session 2 Part 11 Do as our ultimate Leader has done!

Welcome everyone!

This teaching is in document form only, with special features.

Note: To maintain focus, read everything on the page before viewing the videos and going to the links. Thank you.

(1) Let us begin our last session in this series of, “Lasting results”. (Session 2)

(2) I said in our last teaching I would give you the first step to the engrafting process.

(3) The first step to the engrafting process is the memorization of scripture.

(4) The engrafting process will provide lasting results.

(5) Personally, I have also used the engrafting process with a variety of character qualities I received years ago from another ministry. (Very effective)

(6) Question, when is the last time anyone has memorized a verse of scripture?

(7) Children are taught in class to memorize God’s word but not the adults. This is a deception. (See link below)

(8) If we desire any subject to be present when we walk, lie down or awake, heed these verses.

Proverbs 6:21-22
21 Bind them upon your heart always; tie them about your neck. 22 When you walk, they will lead you; when you lie down, they will watch over you; and when you awake, they will talk with you. RSV

(9) Jesus engaged Himself with memorization in His life here on earth.

(10) Jesus demonstrated the power of memorization while on earth. He is our ultimate Leader!!

(11) Consider Jesus when He was tempted. (See video below)

(12) In Matthew, the fourth chapter when Jesus is tempted how was He able to quote scripture?

(13) Answer, He had it committed to memory.

(14) Realize that before Jesus was tempted in this area of God’s word He was already seasoned and had results.

(15) Jesus was always sharp…

(16) Jesus did what I will teach.

(17) If we desire to be seasoned and have Jesus results, we are to be willing to do the required work!

(18) We are to be sharp throughout the week as much as possible.

(19) It cannot all happen when we meet together once a week.

(20) Let us observe Matthew 4:1-11.

Matthew 4:1-11 (Results)
Then Jesus was led up by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil. 2 And he fasted forty days and forty nights, and afterward he was hungry. 3 And the tempter came and said to him, "If you are the Son of God, command these stones to become loaves of bread." 4 But he answered, "It is written, (Deuteronomy 8:3)

'Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.'"

5 Then the devil took him to the holy city, and set him on the pinnacle of the temple, 6 and said to him, "If you are the Son of God, throw yourself down; for it is written,

'He will give his angels charge of you,' and 'On their hands they will bear you up, lest you strike your foot against a stone.'"

7 Jesus said to him, "Again it is written, (Deuteronomy 6:16) 'You shall not tempt the Lord your God.'" 8 Again, the devil took him to a very high mountain, and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and the glory of them; 9 and he said to him, "All these I will give you, if you will fall down and worship me." 10 Then Jesus said to him, "Begone#5217, Satan! for it is written, (Deuteronomy 6:13) 'You shall worship the Lord your God and him only shall you serve.'" 11 Then the devil left him, and behold, angels came and ministered to him. RSV

(21) Note: (Begone #5217, to go, go away, withdraw, depart)

(22) Remember, prior to Jesus’ temptations He was already seasoned had results and was sharp.

(23) Insights for lasting results.

(24) Jesus was led by the Spirit. (V1)

(25) We can except temptations when we are led by God’s Spirit. (Romans 8:14)

(26) The more seasoned we are the greater the temptations. (Bible sense)

(27) Jesus did spiritual work through fasting. (V2)

(28) Then He was hungry (Physically) (V2) When we work we get hungry/spiritually and physically!

(29) The enemy looks for weak areas in our life. This is just Bible sense!

(30) The Devil thought Jesus was weak. (Big mistake)

(31) Tempter came. (V3)

(32) He will come to the believer (I believe it is the demons not Satan himself)

(33) Doubt inserted. (V3)

(34) The word spoken. (V4) (It is written) (Jesus had memorized scripture)

(35) Obedience. (Jesus obeyed what was written/quoted) This is just Bible sense!

(36) Authority. (V10) (Spoken out loud to the devil in the spirit realm)

(37) Jesus did not ask Satan to depart. "Please leave me alone!" Jesus did not pray about it as well.

(38) Jesus spoke the command, He did not just think about it.

(39) Devil left Him. (V11)

(40) Satan left Jesus temporarily until another more opportune and favorable time. Same with us. We should be ready for the next temptation.

Luke 4:13
13 And when the devil had ended every [the complete cycle of] temptation, he [temporarily] left Him [that is, stood off from Him] until another more opportune and favorable time. AMP

(41) Again, Jesus was seasoned, showed results and was sharp!

(42) More insights for lasting results.

(43) Realize it was not just quoting a verse but rather a reminder to obey the verse.

(44) Obedience to the word of God is a major threat to the kingdom of darkness.

(45) When we quote a verse a wall of protection rises. (Picture this in your mind)

(46) If we obey what is written the wall remains.

(47) When we obey, we are controlling ourselves. (Self-control)

(48) On the other hand, if we disobey, the wall comes down. However, God does have mercy!

Proverbs 25:28

28 A man without self-control is like a city broken into and left without walls. RSV

Proverbs 25:28
28 A man without self-control is as defenseless as a city with broken-down walls. TLB

Proverbs 25:28
28 If you cannot control your anger, you are as helpless as a city without walls, open to attack. TEV

(49) Engrafting will assist us in being fully convinced when tempted either by the kingdom of darkness or our own evil desires.

Romans 4:20-22
No distrust made him waver concerning the promise of God, but he grew strong in his faith as he gave glory to God, 21 fully convinced that God was able to do what he had promised. RSV

James 1:13-14

13 Let no one say when he is tempted, I am tempted from God; for God is incapable of being tempted by [what is] evil and He Himself tempts no one.

14 But every person is tempted when he is drawn away, enticed and baited by his own evil desire (lust, passions). AMP

(50)
Engrafting will assist the believer to raise that wall of protection.

(51) But remember the wall remains as we obey what is written. If we mess up, repent quickly, and keep moving forward.

Proverbs 24:16 (NKJV)
16 For a righteous man may fall seven times And rise again, But the wicked shall fall by calamity.
