Lasting Results Session 2 Part 3 Long-lasting acrostic and testimony

Welcome again everyone!

This teaching is in document form only, with special features.

Note: To maintain focus, read everything on the page before viewing the video and going to the links. Thank you.

(1) Let us begin another part of the series, “Lasting results”. (Session 2)

(2) This next part of the teaching series is a testimony.

(3) The testimony we lead us to a powerful long-lasting acrostic.

(4) (Testimony)

(5) Think of your life as I teach.

(6) This testimony involves things I learned making YouTube videos and other things.

(7) I had truly little knowledge and understanding of what I was about to encounter.

(8) As my understanding grew the fear was less. In other words, understanding (how things work) diminished fear!

(9) There were many things to learn about making YouTube videos. At times it was overwhelming. I could have just given up because it was too difficult.

(10) My thinking was, aim and hit the target even if I miss. If I fall back, just get back up, and continue, keeping spiritually clean as I go.

(11) I was absolutely determined to make these videos because it was a platform to reach, teach and preach the good news of God’s kingdom.

(12) Because the value was extremely high, I had the determination to overcome all obstacles to reach people through this platform.

(13) With God’s help and others, along with patience, trial and error and taking one thing at a time I was able to move forward.

(14) Some of the things I needed to understand were the following. I did not have to be perfect and understand everything, but enough to function and accomplish the tasks.

(1) Animation
(2) Sound
(3) Color
(4) Audio
(5) Special Effects
(6) Tutorials

(15) All this was a learning process and for me it was a big deal!

(16) This was not an easy task, I had many deficiencies and was weak in many areas, but with the Lord’s help, I have and will continue to prevail.

(17) Consider these portions from God’s word.

2 Corinthians 12:9-10 (NKJV)
9 “And He said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness." Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
10 Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in needs, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ's sake. For when I am weak, then I am strong.”

(18) One thing I learned a while ago was, "What we hope to do with ease we must first learn to do with diligence.", otherwise it is wishful thinking.

(19) I made this type of statement before I received the needed tools to make or build YouTube videos. “By faith I will be proficient in this area.”

(20) At this point in time God and others have helped me develop 183 videos and reach people, not only from this website Surefooted Ministries but also through several social media platforms.

(21) I give God all the glory and credit!

(22) Here are some questions to ask.

(1) Why do I do what I do?
(2) Why do you do what you do?
(3) Why do we do what we do?

(23) Now I will introduce an effective acrostic!

(24) Why the Acrostic of P.E.G.?

(25) Why? To Package God’s word to reach a lost world!

(26) Why? To Edify people!

(27) Why? To Glorify God!

(28) Coming up are some practical applications and analogies for all of us using the acrostic of P.E.G. But first, let us expound on the word "peg".

(29) P.E.G. (Package, Edify, Glorified)

(30) Dictionary definition for the word “Peg”:

(31) Noun: used to pin down or fasten things, a projecting piece used as a support or boundary marker

(32) Verb: to attach or fix as if with a peg: as to pin down

(33) Package:

(34) Application: Place in our life God’s word and allow it to mature.

(35) Application: Seek God to receive more knowledge and understanding.

(36) This includes the subjects of the Armor of God, the Character of Jesus, and the speaking in Tongues. (This was another acrostic, A.C.T.)

(37) Think on this. Usually when we receive a package at our doorstep there is something in it. It is not an empty package.

(38) Applications and Analogies:

(39) Become a package from God filled with His word. (Not empty)

(40) Be available to God so He can deliver us to others as His special package.

(41) Allow the knowledge and understanding of God to pour out of our life to others.

(42) Bottom line: Become God’s special package filled with His word to support others.

(43) Edify:

(44) The result of our work will be edification for others!

Romans 15:1-2
We who are strong ought to bear with the failings of the weak, and not to please ourselves; 2 let each of us please his neighbor for his good, to edify him. RSV

(45) How can we become strong or stronger?

(46) Gather the needed knowledge and understanding of the (BIHS) baptism in the Holy Spirit and speaking in tongues.

(47) Then, practice your new heavenly prayer language. (Daily)

(48) As we pray in tongues, we edify our life.

1 Corinthians 14:4
He who speaks in a tongue edifies#3618 himself, NKJV

(49) Greek definition for the word “edifies”: NT: #3618: to increase the potential of someone or something, with focus upon the process involved - 'to strengthen, to make more able, to build up.'
(From Greek-English Lexicon Based on Semantic Domain)

(50) As we pray in tongues, we build our life up.

Jude 20
20 But you, beloved, build yourselves up [founded] on your most holy faith [make progress, rise like an edifice higher and higher], praying in the Holy Spirit; AMP

(51) Consider these portions from God’s word.

1 Corinthians 14:2-5
2 For he who speaks in a tongue does not speak to men but to God, for no one understands him; however, in the spirit he speaks mysteries. 3 But he who prophesies speaks edification and exhortation and comfort to men. 4 He who speaks in a tongue edifies himself, but he who prophesies edifies the church. 5 I wish you all spoke with tongues, but even more that you prophesied; for he who prophesies is greater than he who speaks with tongues, unless indeed he interprets, that the church may receive edification. NKJV

1 Corinthians 14:39-40
Therefore, brethren, desire earnestly to prophesy, and do not forbid to speak with tongues. 40 Let all things be done decently and in order. NKJV

(52) The following is from the Spirit Filled Life Bible.

"The purpose of the Holy Spirit fullness in the life of a believer is both the provision of power for ministry that transcends the limits of human ability, and the acquired intimacy for fellowship with the Lord.

He who speaks in an unknown tongue speaks not to men but to God.

The language of worship, intercession, and personal edification are benefits for those who regularly employ the Holy Spirit-enabled language as a vital part of their devotional life with the Lord.

It is not for the purpose of a sign or proof of a superior relationship with God that tongues are given to the believer.

It is for enlarged worship, prayer, and personal strengthening in things of the Spirit. Such are neither selfish nor inappropriate, as Jude 20 asserts this is essential for a believer to edify himself.

Therefore, be strong through the speaking in tongues so we can bear with the failings of the weak to edify them
." (End of the Spirit Filled Life Bible)

(53) Glorified:

(54) God will be glorified as we demonstrate results.

(55) Consider these portions from God’s word.

John 15:8
When you bear (produce) much fruit, My Father is honored and glorified, and you show and prove yourselves to be true followers of Mine. AMP

Philippians 1:9-11
And it is my prayer that your love may abound more and more, with knowledge and all discernment, 10 so that you may approve what is excellent, and may be pure and blameless for the day of Christ, 11 filled with the fruits of righteousness which come through Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God. RSV

Matthew 5:16
Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven. RSV

(56) Bottom line for the acrostic!

(57) As a Package from God enjoy the results of people being Edified and God being Glorified. (P.E.G.)
