(1) Let us begin another part of the series, “Lasting results”. (Session 2)
(2) In our last session a testimony was shared and a powerful long-lasting acrostic. (P.E.G.)
(3) Why the Acrostic of P.E.G.?
(4) Why? To Package God’s word to reach a lost world!
(5) Why? To Edify people!
(6) Why? To Glorify God!
(7) Bottom line for the acrostic!
(8) As a Package from God enjoy the results of people being Edified and God being Glorified. (P.E.G.)
(9) In this session we will see Jesus as our special Package from the Father!
(10) Jesus was delivered to earth as a special Package from the Father. (Seed form)
(11) Jesus was filled with His Father’s will.
(12) Jesus poured Himself out to the world.
(13) Jesus Edifies us.
(14) Jesus Glorified His Father.
(15) Jesus is now enjoying the long-lasting results of His work!
Hebrews 12:2
2 Looking away [from all that will distract] to Jesus, Who is the Leader and the Source of our faith [giving the first incentive for our belief] and is also its Finisher [bringing it to maturity and perfection]. He, for the joy [of obtaining the prize] that was set before Him, endured the cross, despising and ignoring the shame, and is now seated at the right hand of the throne of God. AMP
(16) Our emphasis is now on perfect prayers.
(17) Perfect prayers is one facet when those in Christ are praying in tongues. (Keep in mind, this is a supernatural communication with God.)
(18) Why perfect prayers, because the prayers are from the Holy Spirit and the Holy Spirit is perfect.
(19) Consider the following research.
1 Corinthians 14:14
For if I pray#4336 in an [unknown] tongue#1100, my spirit [by the Holy Spirit within me] prays#4336, but my mind is unproductive [it bears no fruit and helps nobody]. AMP
(20) Greek definition for the word, “pray”: NT: 4336 proseu/xomai proseuchomai (pros-yoo'-khom-ahee); from NT: 4314 and NT: 2172; to pray to God, i.e. supplicate, worship: KJV - pray (X earnestly, for), make prayer.

(21) Greek definition for, “in an unknown tongues” NT: 1100 glw=ssa glossa (gloce-sah'); of uncertain affinity; the tongue; by implication, a language (specially, one naturally unacquired): KJV - tongue.

1 Corinthians 14:2
2 For one who speaks in an [unknown] tongue#1100 speaks not to men but to God, for no one understands or catches his meaning, because in the [Holy] Spirit he utters secret truths and hidden things [not obvious to the understanding]. AMP
Acts 2:4
4 And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance. (GK #669) NKJV
(22) Realize that it is the Holy Spirit giving us the utterance, (GK #669) or the tongue #1100. (This utterance is a supernatural communication with God.)
(23) Observations!
(24) In the root meaning of “pray” in the Greek #2172 it says, “to pray to God”, 1 Corinthians 14:14. This is a valuable piece of information that reveals we are communicating with the heavenly Father and this is an awesome and great honor!!
(25) Let us now move forward in the teaching. I have noticed that it is easier to say God rather than heavenly Father. (In public)
(26) It is easier to say Lord rather than Jesus. (In public)
(27) Many people use the name “God”, and many use the name “Lord”. But who are they talking about?
(28) People can get confused when we say God and Lord. We need to be clear as possible about who we are talking about.
(29) From my perspective people are using God and Lord in a general way to satisfy everyone so there is no offense.
(30) However, my goal is to make a clear distinction and do not hide the truth. In other words, not being afraid of speaking the name of Jesus that is above every name. (Jesus -Yeshua)
Philippians 2:9
Therefore [because He stooped so low] God has highly exalted Him and has freely bestowed on Him the name that is above every name, (AMP)
(31) Therefore, I am stepping it up a notch and making a definite distinction.
(32) I will say heavenly Father and Jesus rather than God and Lord. (In public)
Luke 9:26
26 Because whoever is ashamed of Me and of My teachings, of him will the Son of Man be ashamed when He comes in the [threefold] glory (the splendor and majesty) of Himself and of the Father and of the holy angels. AMP
2 Timothy 1:8
8 Do not blush or be ashamed then, to testify to and for our Lord, AMP
(33) In other words, are we embarrassed to speak about our heavenly Father or Jesus in public?
(34) If we cannot get past this (talking about Jesus in public not just among Christians), how we will ever testify about the (BIHS) baptism in the Holy Spirit and speaking in tongues? (BIHS)
(35) Realize that understanding in this subject (BIHS) provides encouragement.
(36) Encouragement is very importance.
(37) I have mentioned before that encouragement is the antidote to a heard heart.
(38) Encouragement about the two tools, (1) Baptism in the Holy Spirit and (2) speaking in tongues, is especially important. (#1 is for power, #2 is for effective and deeper communication) Both of these spiritual tools work together, like a river flowing down a riverbed.
(39) Why the encouragement, because people can get a hard heart against these two tools. The results would be no baptism in the Holy Spirit and no speaking in tongues. In other words, no power, see Acts1:8, and no supernatural prayer language, (See 1 Corinthians 14:4.)
(40) With these two tools a believer in Christ will enrich their preparation time and spiritual training.
(41) Therefore, these two tools provide encouragement. These are in the Package! The Package is Jesus!
Hebrews 3:12-15
12 Take care, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil, unbelieving heart, leading you to fall away from the living God. 13 But exhort one another every day, as long as it is called "today," that none of you may be hardened by the deceitfulness of sin. 14 For we share in Christ, if only we hold our first confidence firm to the end, 15 while it is said, "Today, when you hear his voice, do not harden your hearts as in the rebellion." RSV
(42) The following verses I mentioned again and again.
(43) Why, because speaking in tongues is like flowing rivers.

John 7:37-39
37 On the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, saying, "If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink. 38 He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water." 39 But this He spoke concerning the Spirit, whom those believing in Him would receive; for the Holy Spirit was not yet given, because Jesus was not yet glorified. NKJV
(44) Rivers generate energy.
(45) Rivers are strong and can move obstacles out of the way.
(46) Learning and understanding more or increasing our knowledge about this subject (Speaking in tongues) and other subjects provide, encouragement, clarity, and removes confusion!

2 Peter 3:18
but grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. NKJV
(47) In this verse notice it is the knowledge of Jesus.
(48) Jesus is the Baptizer in the Holy Spirit. (Luke 3:16)
(49) Speaking in tongues is a result of Jesus work as the Baptizer.
(50) Therefore, we should spend time learning and understanding what speaking in tongues is all about. Rather than running away in fear from this powerful tool and weapon.
(51) Think about this example for a moment. People spend time playing video games and some of these games are difficult. Knowledge and study are required to be proficient or skilled, otherwise, there is discouragement.
(52) Likewise, with God’s word. Knowledge and study are required to be proficient or skilled, otherwise, there is discouragement.
(53) Encouragement causes a person to stay afloat and move forward, discouragement causes a person to sink and give up.
Colossians 2:2-3
2 that their hearts may be encouraged, being knit together in love, and attaining to all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the knowledge of the mystery of God, both of the Father and of Christ, 3 in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. (NKJV)
(54) Part of the knowledge of Jesus is speaking in tongues.
(55) The baptism in the Holy Spirit and tongues are all connected to Jesus. (Knowledge of God)
2 Timothy 2:7
Think over these things I am saying [understand them and grasp their application], for the Lord will grant you full insight and understanding in everything. AMP
