Develop our full capacity in Christ!

Hello, all Royal Prayer Guards and all who join us!

Thank you for continuing in Jesus’ agenda of being about His Father's business!

Luke 2:49
And He said to them, "Why did you seek Me? Did you not know that I must be about My Father's business?"

If we desire to be about the Father's business, we need to stick to His word to know His business.

One part of the Father's business is revealed in the following portion of God's word.

Luke 19:10
for the son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost."

This focus is directed to all believers!

For believers in Christ, certain things need attention for Godly results! Such as actions, knowledge, development, full capacity, powerdesire, study, and truth!

The main purpose and two hindrances!

Developing our full capacity in Christ is our purpose, however, there are at least two hindrances.

1. Being too comfortable in our walk of faith.
2. Mixing with unbelievers in the wrong ways.

Jesus ate with sinful people!

Keep in mind, Jesus was always alert when He was with people and for the correct reasons. Even though He did eat with sinners it was not to participate in their sinful ways but as the Physician.

Matthew 9:11-12
And when the Pharisees saw this, they said to His disciples, Why does your Master eat with tax collectors and those [preeminently] sinful? 12 But when Jesus heard it, He replied, Those who are strong and well (healthy) have no need of a physician, but those who are weak and sick.

The truth of the matter!

Proverbs 1:32
For the backsliding of the simple shall slay them, and the careless ease of [self-confident] fools shall destroy them.

Proverbs 13:20
He who walks with wise men becomes wise, but the companion of fools will suffer harm.

Consider three ways to develop our full capacity in Christ!

First, there must be the power and desire to develop our full capacity in Christ.

Second, live a life of humility.

Third, actions need to take place.

Think about these portions of God’s word.

Philippians 2:13
[Not in your own strength] for it is God Who is all the while effectually at work in you [energizing and creating in you the power and desire], both to will and to work for His good pleasure and satisfaction and delight.

James 4:10
Humble yourselves [feeling very insignificant] in the presence of the Lord, and He will exalt you [He will lift you up and make your lives significant].

James 4:6
But He gives more grace. Therefore He says: "God resists the proud, But gives (grace G5485) to the humble."

Grace G5485 the divine influence upon the heart, and its reflection in the life; including gratitude)
Strong's Talking Greek & Hebrew Dictionary.

James 1:22
But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.

Suggested steps for application!

1. Ask the Father in Jesus' name, to manifest the power and desire to develop our full capacity in Christ.

2. Ask the Father in Jesus' name, to be conscious of humility

3. Ask the Father in Jesus' name, to prompt us to action.

John 16:23-24
And in that day you will ask Me nothing. Most assuredly, I say to you, whatever you ask the Father in My name He will give you. 24 Until now you have asked nothing in My name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full.

Valuable portions of God’s word to think about.

1 John 2:16
For all that is in the world—the lust of the flesh [craving for sensual gratification] and the lust of the eyes [greedy longings of the mind] and the pride of life [assurance in one's own resources or in the stability of earthly things]—these do not come from the Father but are from the world [itself].

James 4:4-8
Adulterers and adulteresses! Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Whoever therefore wants to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God.
5 Or do you think that the Scripture says in vain, "The Spirit who dwells in us yearns jealously"?
6 But He gives more grace. Therefore He says: "God resists the proud, But gives grace to the humble."
7 Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.
8 Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded.

2 Corinthians 6:14-18
Do not be yoked together with unbelievers. For what do righteousness and wickedness have in common? Or what fellowship can light have with darkness?
15 What harmony is there between Christ and Belial? Or what does a believer have in common with an unbeliever?
16 What agreement is there between the temple of God and idols? For we are the temple of the living God. As God has said: “I will live with them and walk among them, and I will be their God, and they will be my people.”
17 Therefore, “Come out from them and be separate, says the Lord. Touch no unclean thing, and I will receive you.”
18 And, “I will be a Father to you, and you will be my sons and daughters, says the Lord Almighty.”

When I was working in the grocery industry, I had to really behave myself. I could not take the chance to be comfortable in my walk of faith. Why, because I was setting an example the best I knew how and maintaining a good testimony. Even though I was not perfect!

Furthermore, I was very alert not to jeopardize my testimony by mixing with the any wrongdoing. Things in the grocery industry spread like wildfire. I desired to be a person God could depend on as I was working among the saved and unsaved.
