Freedom and protection from the past!

Hello once again all Royal Prayer Guards and all those who pray with us.

Thank you always for your faithfulness to our heavenly Father and this ministry!

Struggling from the past?

I believe many Christians struggle with their past when they were an unbeliever, some more than others.

This needs to be corrected. People in Christ cannot continue living in their past sins, failures, regrets, and disappointments.

Good news!

The good news is Jesus has already corrected the problem. Christians need to accept the truth that they have received the gift of righteousness and are free in Christ!

Romans 5:17-19 (NKJV)
“For if by the one man's offense death reigned through the one, much more those who receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ.) 18 Therefore, as through one man's offense judgment came to all men, resulting in condemnation, even so through one Man's righteous act the free gift came to all men, resulting in justification of life. 19 For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so also by one Man's obedience many will be made righteous.”

John 8:36 (AMP)
“So if the Son liberates you [makes you free men], then you are really and unquestionably free.”

People cannot stand before God in their own righteousness.

Romans 10:3 (NKJV)
“For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and seeking to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted to the righteousness of God.”

Breastplate of Righteousness!

The righteousness of God (right standing) connects to one piece of the armor of God.

This piece of the armor is, the breastplate of righteousness found in Ephesians 6:14.

Paul is connecting the breastplate and the righteousness of God together.

Ephesians 6:14 RSV
“Stand therefore, having girded your loins with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness”

If we have the righteousness of God, we also have the breastplate, these cannot be separated.

The right standing or righteousness of God protects us as a breastplate.

A breastplate in the physical is placed over the vital organs of the human body, which are the heart and the lungs.

If the human heart is stopped or even the lungs, the person will die.

In the same way the breastplate of righteousness covers and protects our heart, in other words, our life.

Insights:

Believe what God said and did rather than what people say. This is very important for those who have been made fun of in their life.

Taking part in what is forbidden is sin and brings guilt, and condemnation.  It produces feelings of unworthiness before God.

Sin is a direct attack on the Breastplate of Righteousness.

The attack is caused by our own behavior and it is intensified by demon activity.

Any damage to our Breastplate of Righteousness is repairable through the blood of Jesus and will place the believer back on track.

1 John 1:7-9 RSV (Three if's)
“but if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin. 8 If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. 9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just, and will forgive our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”

Suggestions for prayer and application:

These suggestions for prayer and application are for those in Christ.

1. Overcome nagging failures from the past by putting on the breastplate of righteousness.

Ephesians 6:14 RSV
“Stand therefore, having girded your loins with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness”

2. Decide to live in Christ’s victory, not our past disappointments.

Philippians 3:13-14 (NKJV)
“Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, 14 I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.”

3. Settle it once and for all that we have received His gift of righteousness, and are free in Jesus!

4. Engraft Ephesians 6:14 in our life. (Read Romans 11:17-24)

5. Believe what God said and did rather than what people say.

Philippians 1:6 (NKJV)
“being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ”

Jeremiah 29:11 (NKJV)
“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.”

6. Repent quickly and keep clean as we go.

Mark 11:25 (NKJV)
"And whenever you stand praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive him, that your Father in heaven may also forgive you your trespasses.”

Ecclesiastes 9:8 (AMP)
“Let your garments be always white [with purity], and let your head not lack [the] oil [of gladness].”

7. Thank God for refreshing and restoring our life. (Psalm 23:3)

Colossians 3:15 (NKJV)
“And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body; and be thankful.”

Psalm 23:3 (AMP)
“He refreshes and restores my life (my self); He leads me in the paths of righteousness [uprightness and right standing with Him—not for my earning it, but] for His name's sake.”

Watching the video will make things clear.
