Prayer for those who persecute believers in Christ Jesus!

Our heavenly Father is depending on His children to do the works of Jesus this includes prayer.

Realize that we as believers in Christ are the body of Christ on earth. Think about that for a moment.

This prayer focus is praying for those who persecute believers in Christ such as, terrorists, people in authority misusing their authority, CEOs in social media platforms, and those who s
teal, kill and destroy...

Why these people, because Jesus died for them. They need Jesus just like anyone else.

John 3:16
"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life." (Emphasis has been added on all verses)

We might need to change our view and thoughts about these people. We may need to see things from our heavenly Father's perspective.

Another reason why we should pray for those who would persecute believers is that Jesus said so.

Matthew 5:44-45
"But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you, 45 that you may be sons of your Father in heaven; for He makes His sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust."

Portions of scripture to consider:

James 5:16
'The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much."

Luke 10:2
"Then He said to them, "The harvest truly is great, but the laborers are few; therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest."

Ephesians 6:18
Pray at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication. To that end keep alert with all perseverance, making supplication for all the saints”

2 Chronicles 7:14
"if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land."  (Click here and watch this short video)

Romans 12:11-12
“Never flag in zeal, be aglow with the Spirit, serve the Lord. Rejoice in your hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer.”
