Tighten the belt of truth and be ready for battle!

Welcome all Royal Prayer Guards and all those who pray with us!
It is great to know that people pray and do the works of Jesus. People who believe God without doubting! People who are bold, and not fearful! People who walk in peace and not always worried Thank you for being such people!
The belt of truth! One piece of the armor! Notice, it is not the belt of lies!
Think for a moment, without the belt what would happen, or a belt that is loose? How can Christians function with a loose belt of truth?
The one word!
The one word that was important in the following translation was the word, “tightened”. This revealed what I believe the Lord wanted to be noticed and shared.
Ephesians 6:14 (AMP)
“Stand therefore [hold your ground], having tightened the belt of truth around your loins and having put on the breastplate of integrity and of moral rectitude and right standing with God”
Antonyms for “tightened”, relaxed or loose.
People are getting relaxed and loose with God’s truth. (Using it lightly, joking…)
Seriously, we cannot be relaxed or loose with God’s truth. This goes for all those in Christ!
Our goal is to tighten the belt of truth and be ready for battle!
How do we tighten the belt of truth?
(These five steps can be used when praying for those in Christ.) Click here. (PDF file)
1. Read and study God’s word without compromising actions. (1Timothy 4:13, 2Timothy 2:15, James 1:22)
2. Memorize portions of God’s word involving truth. (Psalm 119:9-11)
3. Spend time meditating on our memorization efforts with prayer. (Joshua 1:8, Colossians 4:2)
4. Be watchful to avoid careless views of morals and responsibility (Ephesians 6:18)
5. Be determined to daily cleave to God! (Deuteronomy 30:19-20)
What does tightening look like?
The belt of truth, (God’s word), will be seen through our speech, actions, attitudes, motives, direction, and locations.
If these areas are true, based on God’s word, our belt is tight!

Observations:
People are speaking!
Today, people are speaking many things, especially on social media but is it the truth?
The things spoken must be in line with God’s word to be effective.
Become His mouthpiece or spokesmen!
If believers in Christ desire to be His mouthpiece or spokesmen in any area of life, consider this portion of God’s word.
Jeremiah 15:19 RSV
“Therefore thus says the LORD: "If you return, I will restore you, and you shall stand before me. If you utter what is precious, and not what is worthless, you shall be as my mouth. They shall turn to you, but you shall not turn to them.”
Wisdom!
It would be wise for those in Christ to utter what is precious and not what is worthless, words of truth, found in the Bible, rightly divided. (2 Timothy 2:15)
